But it still unpacks slow.ĭoes anyone know what is causing this slow unpacking and how to solve it? Is it OSX? Unrar? But I'm still experiencing slow unpacking. UnRAR is a command-line utility for extracting RAR files. I made the change to NZBGet to try to solve the slow unpacking (and the interface was a big plus!). Every regular Linux user must know how to install and use UnRAR on Ubuntu 20.04 OS. Sab was unpacking 10 times faster than NZBGet was. I used to use Sabnzbd+ but things became slow about a year ago. Under Categories, Paths on the Synology are: Files are setup to download to the Mac Mini: All files download to a 2012 i5 Mac Mini with a 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM (with OSX 10.11.1 latest release). There are only a few posts online of people complaining about this problem. Oldest history examples at the top.I'm using 16.3. Will monitor and see what happens after a couple of days running if I extract to the SSD cache drive as well. One repair was a bit long, but maybe that was necessary. My post-processing queue has fully cleared itself. The nzbget and unrar processes run properly as native apps, and the NZBGet. I've switched to nzbget downloading to my SSD cache drive and then extracting to the array. So far theres no issues, and there has been a significant boost in performance. Major improvement - down to seconds from hours!! ParRepair, ParRename, RarRename, DirectRename, DirectUnpack- Yes.It says a few hundreds in the guide - is bigger worse? Are there any advantages in going beyond the recommended 1024, even a couple of MB/GB? Are there any advantages in going beyond the recommended 100MB, even a couple of GB? Should I go Rocket, as I'm guessing that unpacks take say 50% longer, but because it can do 6 at a time, overall it's faster? ![]()
